One of the most emblematic villages of the island that combines romanticism, history, culture and traditions. The beautiful mountain village was once the home of the love story between composer Frédéric Chopin and French writer George Sand and the inspiration for her famous works.

Discover the charm of this picturesque village walking through its narrow cobbled streets with typical Mallorcan stone houses, full of authentic handicraft products and savouring a "coca de patata", especially popular in Valldemossa. A stroll through its legendary streets will transport you to the real Mallorca and captivate you with its history and culture.

The Royal Charterhouse of Valldemossa, which has become a historical landmark on the island, was built at the beginning of the 14th century by King James II for his son Sancho. During this period, it was a place of residence for the monks until it finally became private property, housing renowned artists and writers such as Rubén Darío, Azorín, Miguel de Unamuno, the Polish composer Frédéric Chopin and the writer George Sand, who wrote her famous book "A Winter in Mallorca".

The truth is that Valldemossa, due to its location in the Tramuntana mountain range, offers unique scenery every season of the year. During the winter months, the village becomes one of the locals' favourite places to stroll through its cosy streets, have a hot chocolate with the typical coca de patata or simply enjoy the spectacle of the first almond blossom that floods the landscapes of Mallorca in the months of January and February.
