Sustainable Development
Tourism can contribute, directly or indirectly, to the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. Specifically, tourism appears in the Targets of Goals 8, 12 and 14, which are respectively related to inclusive and sustainable economic development, sustainable consumption and production and the sustainable use of oceans and marine resources.
At LeMón Tours we work actively for the responsible development of the tourist community. This challenge we are facing requires active participation and collaboration from all of us to contribute to the creation of a responsible awareness of the consumption of tourist experiences and services in Mallorca.

As a company committed to sustainability, we recognise the urgency of addressing climate change and its devastating effects. In this regard, we have implemented concrete measures to mitigate our carbon footprint and contribute to climate action. By calculating and offsetting our carbon footprint, we are taking direct action to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. This commitment not only reflects our concern for the environment, but is also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 13 (Climate Action), where our contribution translates into emissions reductions.

Carbon neutral tours
Lemon Tours has been voluntarily calculating its carbon footprint since 2018, as part of an unprecedented decarbonization plan in the Balearic Islands. In 2023, we set out to calculate the impacts of all our indirect scopes. To achieve this, we embarked on a new partnership with TrueWorld to accurately measure the emissions from our tours, and utilized the UNITED NATIONS platform to contribute economically to offset the emissions that cannot be avoided.
We are very proud to say that every Lemon tour is now 100% carbon neutral verified.

In addition to our focus on climate action, we are committed to making a positive impact at the local level. Through collaboration and contribution to social and environmental projects, we contribute to the sustainable development of our communities.
We support initiatives that promote marine conservation (SDG 14), technological innovation for sustainable development (SDG 9) and partnership for the achievement of the goals (SDG 17). We believe these actions not only strengthen our commitment to sustainability, but also contribute to the well-being of local communities and to achieving a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
