Menorca, a beautiful island declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO and a place where you can lose yourself in its different locations and points of interest. Minorca has managed to conserve its natural environment in an exceptional way and is home to places full of history, tradition and culture. We propose a fabulous itinerary with which you can discover the authentic Menorca at your own pace and in which you can include your own car.

Menorca: its geographical location makes it a crossroads of different cultural and political currents, which for centuries have spread throughout the Mediterranean. With its characteristic narrowness and Mediterranean scent, Ciutadella is an elegant, colourful and vibrant port where every stroll becomes an experience. The perfect itinerary that we recommend starts at Ses Voltes square and ends at the seafront terraces that give character to the Menorcan port. The old quarter is made up of small streets of Arab and medieval origin. This is the area where most of the city's monuments are located. Almost the entire centre is pedestrianised, which makes it an ideal place for strolling and shopping.

It is said that Menorca is a flat island, which is why its highest mountain, Monte Toro, is 358m high. From the top, we can delight our senses with the panoramic views of the whole island and, on clear days, we can see as far as Mallorca. The church has a beautiful courtyard and houses the statue of the Virgen del Toro (Virgin of the Bull), who is the subject of a famous legend.

Binibeca is one of the most beautiful, picturesque and Mediterranean villages on the island. It is a representation of an old fishing village with small white houses with typical wooden shutters, narrow cobbled streets and an intense aroma of the sea. The centre is made up of about a hundred houses that faithfully represent the essence of a small Mediterranean coastal village with similarities to the beautiful coastal villages of Greece. It should definitely be on your itinerary.

A short distance away is Mahon and its imposing history and the port of Mahon, the largest natural harbour in Europe. Its elegant architecture is a legacy of the passage of Punics, Romans, Arabs and Christians and, above all, of the British occupation (18th century) and the fortunes amassed by smugglers. It offers visitors a unique archaeological and architectural heritage.

Carbon footprint offsetting

Carbon offsetting is a method used to balance greenhouse gas emissions by investing in projects that reduce or eliminate equivalent emissions elsewhere.

At Lemon Tours, we carefully calculate the carbon footprint of each of our tours, considering factors such as transportation and activity consumption. We then invest in a variety of United Nations certified carbon offset projects, such as renewable energy, reforestation and others, to offset these emissions.
